* Inspired by the Scripture – *Sirach 27:16–18*:
“He who reveals secrets destroys trust and will never find a true friend again. Love your friend and remain faithful to him; but if you have betrayed his secrets, do not pursue him any longer. As one who kills a person, so have you destroyed your neighbor’s friendship; and as a bird that escapes from your hand, so have you let your friend go — you will never get him back.”
✨ A young man, alone at the counter of a bar. His former friends are reflected in the mirror behind him — together, yet without him. He has broken their trust, perhaps by revealing secrets or speaking behind their backs. Thus, friendship has flown away, and now only silence remains.

🪞 The Silent Distance
When a single gesture or word is enough to create an abyss.
In the mirror’s reflection, his friends appear close, yet they are no longer within reach — the distance between them is no longer just physical.
Sometimes friendship is lost this way, simply for not having reflected enough, for not understanding those simple truths that one grasps only when it’s too late.
🍸 The Witness
Behind every bar counter, there is someone who observes without judging.
The bartender watches stories unfold — people meeting, others drifting apart, and those simply longing to talk.
Each evening, surrounded by glasses and bottles of every kind, he becomes the silent witness of all this social life… and yet, it isn’t true companionship.
In this painting, it’s unclear who is lonelier: the bartender, immersed among people, or the young man ignored by his friends.
💡 Games of Light and Shadow
The lights of the bar draw silent stories: bottles that shimmer like promises, golden reflections on the counter creating a glamorous, sophisticated atmosphere.
Everything seems perfect — carefully arranged in every detail to evoke nightlife and elegance.
And yet, behind those colorful lights that enchant the eye, the real struggles remain in the shadows.
As so often happens, the most beautiful appearances hide the deepest loneliness.
